My 1970 Custom Morris 1000 Traveller. ARC 402H

The car I wanted since I was at school. After finally becoming the owner and two restorations later I eventually got the car i always wanted, kind of. After 10 years or restoring and tweaking this car I still wasnt 100% happy, my enthusiasm dropped, and with the want to build a house the money was needed in more important places. In some ways I wish id kept Archie, but probably did the right thing. Who knows I may buy him back one day. I sold him to a couple in Dorchester that put more miles on the clock in one year than in did in 10. I have lost touch with them unfortunatley. If you own Archie do get in touch: Email

Here's a few pictures of Archie finished (second time!)

archie 01.jpg (416463 bytes)  archie 02.jpg (442018 bytes)  archie 03.jpg (448448 bytes)  archie 04.jpg (495412 bytes)  Looking awesome even if I do say myself.

archie 05.jpg (518323 bytes)  archie 06.jpg (419708 bytes)  archie 07.jpg (439478 bytes)  I made the custom bumper from solid Ash as a one off.

archie 08.jpg (479533 bytes)  Very tidy engine bay. Unleaded head, 1.5" Su, alloy inlet, maniflow 3 branch exhaust and system, vernier adjustable duplex timming chain, Kent cam shaft, the list goes on, yet the power was dismal, maybe i just got used to the power of my van!

archie 09.jpg (355038 bytes)  archie 10.jpg (311063 bytes)  archie 11.jpg (356169 bytes)

The custom interior took 5 hides of leather. Im very proud of the outcome, and my attention to detail. More of my one off timber work on the dash and door capping.

archie 12.jpg (284259 bytes)  archie 13.jpg (275595 bytes)  archie 14.jpg (285780 bytes)  archie 15.jpg (324413 bytes)

archie 16.jpg (388582 bytes)  archie 17.jpg (365598 bytes)  archie 18.jpg (524607 bytes)  The underside was almost as good as the body this time. All cavities injected with waxoyl.

More pictures will follow of the restorations, but this should satisfy you for now.
