About the Family. Originally founded in Yeovil since 1974 by Keith Robins, still active and working with wife Yvonne Robins, and Sons Daniel Robins and Thomas Robins, in this family business covering all your PROPERTY MAINTENANCE needs. After leaving school in 1961, Keith started out as an apprentice for Pipard & Perrys of Yeovil, on Painting and Decorating, whilst also helping and learning the other trades. By 1974 Keith went self-employed on a part time basis to build up the business, but before long was rushed off his feet. Over the years he’s taken various courses and qualifications. The biggest part of being a professional at something is experience! Something that only time will give. Since leaving school in 1998, Daniel has been part of the team closely working with Dad on a 12 year apprentiship, learning the trade and gaining the much needed experience in this line of work. In May 2010, Daniel married Philippa. Daniel and Phili now live in Sturminster Newton, and have extended the customer base from Yeovil through to North Dorset. Both Keith and Daniel still work together, but now mostly separately on jobs. Both cover the Yeovil area, and Daniel also covers the North Dorset area aswell. All office work is under taken by Keiths wife, Yvonne. Taking care of all the behind the scenes stuff to TRY and keep everything running smoothly! The more recent addition to the family business is Thomas. Since leaving school in 2005, Tom has taken a college carpentry course lasting 2 years during which time he worked part time with Keith and Daniel. Tom then decided to take a career change working at a local Gym as an instructor, later becoming a qualified personal trainer before deciding that being employed in a gym was not for him and wanted to set his own gym up. After a short time at Screwfix trade counter Tom is now back in the family bussiness.
